The South Central Iowa Building and Construction Trades Council charter dates back to November 11th, 1987 as the association of local construction trades and has been serving the South Central Iowa area since that time by promoting professional construction jobs in our communities. The SCIBCTC jurisdiction covers 8 counties in South Central Iowa: Mahaska, Keokuk, Monroe, Wapello, Jefferson, Appanoose, Davis, and Van Buren.
Our goal as the South Central Iowa Building Trades is to work with public bodies, developers and contractors to promote an alliance that ensures local workers are used in the construction of projects throughout our area. This kind of alliance is what helps to preserve good paying, skilled, local jobs so that the next generation of workers can continue to provide for their families and be an asset to our communities.
South Central Iowa Building Trades serves the counties of Mahaska, Keokuk, Monroe, Wapello, Jefferson, Appanoose, Davis, and Van Buren.
